Time really does fly. Kyle & I celebrated our 6th anniversary this past Sunday! It's hard to believe that 6 years have already gone by. So much has happened in 6 years, it's amazing to think where we will be in another 6 years. God definitely picked the perfect man for me when he brought Kyle into my life. When I'm anxious, Kyle is calm. When I'm discouraged, Kyle is there to encourage. When I'm sad, he is there to cheer me up. When I need comfort, he comforts me. When I need to act crazy & laugh, Kyle can go out of his comfort zone & act crazy with me.
To celebrate the occasion, we decided to go & see the King Tut traveling exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art. It was really cool. What we found amazing is that some of the artifacts were probably around at the time various events in biblical history were taking place. It was sad to us to realize how much the Egyptians did idolize & worship various gods, when they needed to choose the one true God. Since we just finished our study of Moses in BSF this year, we also talked about how the Israelites would comment in the desert with Moses "if only we had never left Egypt!" After reading more about the Egyptian life, etc with this exhibit, we can see why the Israelites would say such a thing. The Egyptians definitely lived a life of luxury. Since cameras weren't allowed in the exhibit, I have no pics to post. But trust me when I say that there were some cool things to see!
Here is brief synopsis of the journey God has taken us on the past 6 years since getting married on May 17, 2003:

-Kyle & Susie are going to be parents! Our first child, baby boy Kent, is due 6/26.
As you can tell, the past 6 years have been full of school, moving, job changes. It's been a busy, exciting phase of life. We are excited about the new change that will soon be here of the blessing of our precious Kent. Be on the lookout for pics.
Happy Anniversary, Kyle. I love & enjoy life with you!

32 week ultrasound
Last week when my mom was visiting, I had the opportunity for both future Grandmas to see Kent again. Future Grandma Paula used her ultrasound machine to take another peek at the little guy. Actually, he isn't so little anymore! His whole body used to fit into the entire monitor at one time, now only parts of his body can be seen. Here is a profile shot of his head. Can you see his nose, lips, & hand up by his chin?
I think this is an arm, but it might be a leg....kind of hard for me to remember what was being measured. Regardless, isn't it cute?
Here is another profile shot, you can see his shoulder a little better in this picture. Kent is really growing!
Here is a face shot of Kent. He did look at all of us. I know we are ready to see him in person instead of in black & white!Paula told me that as my due date gets closer, the images won't be as good since my uterus is "getting old" with this baby. We may try again, but are anxiously waiting for the real Kent himself!
One more thing...after all of the measurements, Paula calculated that Kent weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces last week! I have about 5-7 weeks left, so he should be a healthy size. (I hope not too big!)

Kent's Nursery
These pics show the finished product, which I'm happy with. This is a view from the hallway as you walk into his room. The nursery is directly across the hall from our bedroom, so it will be convenient to get to him in the middle of the night.
Before my mom visited, I can say I was feeling a bit overwhelmed at trying to get stuff done. It's just not as easy to move around as it used to be. I also am still working 5 days/week and have been gone several weekends in March/April, which contributed to the overwhelmed feeling. NOw, thankfully, we are pretty much here in town until Kent arrives. Thanks so much, mom! Love you!
Kyle & I are enjoying time together right now, as we know that things will change when Kent joins our family. We are so excited about his arrival! Please keep praying for a healthy delivery.
I'm 33 weeks right now, so another 5-6 weeks sounds good to me for delivery. We'll just see when God decides the time is right. Thanks for all of your continued prayers for us!

North Davis Church Baby Shower
For more pics, checkout the album on facebook. Blogger takes way too long to upload every picture that I take. These are just a few of the highlights of the shower.
The cake was really good & was too pretty to eat. However, we did dig in & it was delicious!
I had a lot of fun, and am very excited about Kent's arrival after receiving such nice baby things, at all of my baby showers. Thanks for your help, everyone!
