Kyle's 1st Father's Day

What a memorable Father's Day we had this past Sunday! With Kent being 4 days old at that time, it made for a special Father's Day. Kyle is loving being a new dad. Here is a pic of father & son on Father's Day with the new #1 dad shirt that Kent got him. (Kent wasn't too happy in the picture, as I just got done putting a cute outfit on him. He doesn't really like to get dressed or have his diaper changed).
Here is our family picture on Father's Day. We were all pretty tired, but doing well.

My dad was in Ohio for Father's Day (we missed you, dad!), but my mom & sister were here to celebrate. Here is the new Grandma Collins with her new grandson on Father's Day.

Aunt Amanda was proud to hold her new nephew.

New Grandpa Billy with his grandson. Too precious!

New great-grandmother Rhodes with her 1st great-grandson on Father's DAy. She is enjoying every moment she can with Kent!

The new grandmas with their new grandson on Father's Day. How fun! Paula cooked a delicious meal at their house. Mom & Kristen were able to be here to celebrate. Thanks, Paula!

Great-Grandmother Herd with her new great-grandson Kent. So sweet!

Billy with his new #1 Grandpa shirt for Father's Day. Every new grandpa needs one of these to wear!

New Grandma Paula with her new grandson. Not sure what you want to be called yet, Paula. Just let me know so I can call you the appropriate name in future blog posts! :)
Hope everyone else had a memorable Father's Day. I'm still in wonder everyday that I'm a new mom. Things are going well so far. I'm slowly recovering from my c-section surgery, am overcoming the challenges to breastfeeding, & am adapting to my new life as a mother to Kent. Kyle continues to be an amazing supportive husband, doing things I never could imagine him doing even a week ago. He has become a great diaper changer, baby burper, baby blanket wrapper, & snuggler to his new son. I'll try to get some more everyday pics of life with Kent & post them sometime soon. He makes the funniest facial expressions, and is definitely more entertaining than TV to me. (especially since it's the summer & there is nothing good on anyway).
Thanks to all of you for your continued thoughts & prayers for us as we adjust to life as new parents. So far, I'm loving it! God is good for this amazing blessing!

My hands look enormous in that last picture. Maybe it's in comparison to Kent. Still not sure what I want to be called. Maybe Granny? or how about Grammy? Actually, Grandma Paula is nice too. What do you think?
