Our DAILY bread...

I recently started a Bible study by Beth Moore called "A Woman's Heart- God's Dwelling Place." It is a study of the Old Testament tabernacle.

To be honest, I have avoided this study when choosing Bible studies in the past because the tabernacle honestly doesn't excite me that much. I love the amazing gift that God has given Beth Moore in writing Bible studies in making His word come more to life. I seem to learn something new about our Savior everyday when I'm doing one of her Bible studies. So, when I stumbled upon this Bible study at half price books, I decided to give it a shot.

I'm almost to the end of the 2nd week and I can tell you now that this study was well worth the money. God had a reason in mind for me doing this study at this point in my life & I'm thankful for what I'm learning. So, if you have avoided this Bible study for a similar reason, please consider picking it up. You never know what God has in mind for you to learn through studying His word.

Over the past week, one day in particular stands out to me. I've been reading & studying about Moses leading the Israelites through the desert & about how God continually met their needs. Reading about God providing manna to the Israelites & the specific instructions He gave as to how much to collect, etc is really cool. When it was all said & done, everyone had exactly the "omer" (or amount) he/she needed for that day. Beth Moore tied this "omer" (or amount) into the Lord's prayer when we pray "Give us this day our DAILY bread." I had never thought about it before, but Beth Moore pointed out that on some days, we all need a bigger "omer" than other days. The awesome thing is that God will provide exactly what we will need to make it through each & every part of every day!

I hope this has encouraged anyone who needs a reminder that our God cares about every part of our day & that He will never leave or forsake us.

Have a blessed day!
